New Class Offerings

Needle Felting for Homeschoolers

Tuesday April 16, 11am to 12pm @ Public Works Art Center

In this class we will make and decorate needle felted hanging ornaments that are perfect to hang on a window, wall, or fridge! To protect our fingers, we will wear protective finger gloves and needle felt inside of cookie cutters. Children will pick from the shape of their choosing, needle felt the base, and then decorate it. These include a cat, dog, bear, star, and more. No prior experience is needed, and all skill levels are welcome. We will work through each step together to make it fun and easy. This is a fun class for both beginners and experienced artists.

In this class you will learn how needle felting works, as well as the best materials to use. We will go over needle felting procedures and safety before we start working, and all materials are provided. At the end of the class, you will have a cute, finished ornament to take home to decorate your wall!

This class is for responsible children 8 and up. If you feel that your child requires additional help you are welcome to stay and help them during the class. Needle felting needles are sharp, and although we use safety gear and work carefully and slowly, accidents can happen.
